Cheap Eats: Part I - Fish Sticks, Fried Rice, Tomatoes and Patis

Trader Joe's Cod Sticks
Soy Sauce
Ginger Paste
Garlic Paste
Peas
Green Onions
Rice
Eggs
Red Chilli Paste
Fresh Tomatoes
Siracha Sauce
Patis

1. Throw in some peas and water into a frying pan. Cook until all the water evaporates
2. Splash in some vegetable oil and add spoonful of garlic paste (i LOVE garlic, so I add about a teaspoon)
3. Add ginger paste (a little goes a long way!)
4. Add rice and toss around until the peas, garlic and ginger paste is completely mixed together
5. Bird nest the rice and crack an egg(s) in the middle. Toss until egg is cooked
6. Add soy sauce to taste
7. Add red chilli paste to taste
8. Throw in green onions
9. Add siracha

*Cooking fish sticks: stick em in the oven and flip them half way through
**Cut up a fresh tomato and add patis

MMMmmm.. Enjoy!

***Try switching fish sticks out for Spam, potstickers, leftover chicken, pork, tofu, sausage - practically anything ... shoot maybe even tuna (in Thailand, they sell canned Tuna fried rice)
