Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup



Kyle got me sick .. yech ... but even in that I found inspiration. Allow me to present to you spicy chicken noodle soup! It's jam packed with veggies to boost anyone's immune system and spicy enough to clear up anyone's senses.

2 bunches of Tomoshiraga Somen noodles
2 cans Campbell's Chicken Broth
2 cans water
4 Thai chillies*
1 stalk lemongrass
2 cloves garlic
7 slices of ginger
1 tomato
1/4 lb of cooked chicken (bone and all)

1. Bring 2 cans broth and water to a boil
2. Add sliced chilies, garlic, lemongrass, and tomato
3. Add noodles
4. Add chicken
5. Enjoy!!

*WARNING* remove chillies before serving dish .. unless you are intentionally trying to kill, murder, cause serious bodily harm to someone. In case you didn't take this disclaimer seriously down some milk immediately.

Comfort Foods: Grilled Cheese Sandwhich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup


Winter's here!!! Everyone's sick, the malls are packed, and snow has yet to fall .. yech... Stay indoors and enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich (or tuna melt) with a side of creamy tomato basil soup.

Soup:
1- 28oz can of crushed tomatoes
1- 11.5 oz can of V8
1- 14.5 oz can of chicken broth
1 bunch of fresh basil leaves
1 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of salted butter

1. Combine crushed tomatoes, V8 and chicken broth in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes.
2. Remove from heat and add in thin strips of basil
**OPTIONAL** puree mixture
3. Add in heavy cream and butter
4. Return to medium heat until butter has melted
5. Enjoy!

*Try adding a splash of balsamic vinegar and cheesy croutons to your soup! YUMMM..

Grilled Cheese Sandwhich:
2 slices of Alfaro's Micro-Bakery Santa Cruz Sourdough
Butter
Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
